Benjamin is currently a student at the Feinberg School of Medicine, entering his second year in the fall of 2010. His interest in the pioneering mission of the Oncofertility Consortium began 15 years ago, as his sister Yael was diagnosed with ALL in ’95. Benjamin served as Yael’s bone marrow transplant donor, after she faced a recurrence only five years later. With the ever-growing population of cancer survivors like his sister as the impetus to his commitment to the Oncofertility Consortium, Benjamin hopes to further the cause and examine the profound impact that this research will have.
Fun fact: While not studying, Benjamin enjoys photography and writing poetry.
